Daryl van Wouw really surprised a lot of people on Saturday when he showed his new collection at AIFW. He's known for his streetwear, but this time he chose a completely different style from what we're used to. For this collection, he got his inspiration from the videoclip of the song 'Paradise Circus' from Massive Attack, and Shanghai, where he currently lives. He named it 'Lovely weird world'.
The colors of the video led to a wonderful color palette of white, orange, grey, cobalt blue, black and green. Shorts and short dresses were the main items of the show. The models were also wearing complimenting gypsy accesories and colorful make up that refers to paradise.

I love to see more of this side of Daryl. He certainly won't regret to have tried something new. His show was officially called the highlight of 2010's Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Congrats!
