Belgian handbaglabel Kipling is joining forces with 2009 Swarovski Most Promising Designer label Peter Pilotto. The result is a capsule collection with 11 bags, 5 wallets and a moneyclip for the intergalactic traveler. Model and personal friend of Peter Pilotto and Christopher Devos, Anouck Lepère got the honor to show the collection, butt naked.
"Bright prints and colours fascinate me", said Isabelle Cheron, creative director at Kipling. "With Peter, I felt immediately that this was a mutual passion. De prints have something futuristic, with their combination of the galaxy and azure and flaming red stains." Pilotto: "When I started thinking about the design, I got the image of an intergalactic traveler in my mind. Together with this collaboration, we hope to attract new audiences."
The models will be available in 2 prints, named 'Galaxy' and 'Machine', starting the third week of September. Retail prices vary from €9,90 to €99,00. A second Kipling by Peter Pilotto collection will follow for spring 2011.
