How to wear

You better not be too pale if you want to rock this trend. Gold looks great on a sunkissed skin. You can fake this by using a little bit of bronzer here and there during winter to get that nice golden sparkle. Don't overdo it with the outfit if you don't want to get mistaken for christmas decoration. The gold itself will do the magic to draw attention to you, so keep the rest of your outfit simple and basic. Black accessories will do just fine as you can see on the catwalk examples. 

Gold is a great color to use if you want to draw attention away from your bad points. For example, if you are a pear figure, try on a golden top or blazer to draw the attention away from your hips. You can also wear a dress with broad shoulders like the ones from Balmain to balance out your figure. Is a gold outfit a bit too much? Choose for a simple black outfit, I favou a LBD, and pair it with lots of big, bold golden jewelry for instant glamour. Have fun experimenting!

Je kunt maar beter niet te bleek zijn als je weg wilt komen met deze trend. Goud ziet er heel mooi uit op een lichtjes zongebruinde huid. Je kunt dit effect nabootsen door deze winter hier en daar wat bronzer te gebruiken om die mooie gloed te bekomen. Overdrijf niet met de outfit, anders heb je de kans er bij te lopen als een kerstbal. Het goud zelf zorgt voor genoeg aandacht, dus hou de rest van je outfit simpel. Zwarte accessoires doen het heel goed, kijk maar naar de catwalk voorbeelden. 

Goud is een goede kleur om te gebruiken indien je de aandacht van je minpunten wil verschuiven. Bijvoorbeeld, als je een peerfiguur hebt, probeer dan een gouden topje of blazer om de aandacht van je heupen naar je bovenlijf te trekken. Je kunt ook een jurk met brede schouders proberen zoals die van Balmain om je figuur uit te balanceren. Is een gouden outfit wat te gedurfd? Ga dan voor een simpele zwarte outfit, bij voorkeur een LBD, en combineer het met veel grote gouden juwelen voor instant glamour. Veel plezier met experimenteren!
