H&M designer collaboration 2010 teaser (part 2)

H&M keeps on teasing us with their mystery videos. Today, three more were released (so far). The  persons featured in the videos are the same as the ones from yesterday's videos, if you listen to their voice. But this time they are in different outfits. The woman even has black hair now and the man seems to have a lot of tattoos on his arms. I'm dying to know who they are! Any ideas?

Update: It looks like it's going to be Lanvin! Can't wait to see the collection!

Shoplog: London

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know I spent part of my vacation in London. And since London is Europe's high street fashion capital, I just had to go shopping. There are so many great stores and brands that you can't buy here in Belgium, so I really had to restrain myself from spending all of my money. I did spend a lot though. It's probably a good thing I only stayed 3 days. Anyway, take a look at my London buys after the jump!

H&M designer collaboration 2010 teaser

Today, H&M released a teaser to make you guess who is going to be the next designer to be releasing a collection with them. From the looks of it, the rumours about it being Taiwanese Shiatzy Chen seem to be false since the teaser features a male designer. Can you guess who it is?

Update: H&M just released another teaser, this time featuring a female designer.

A lot of sources whisper it could be Thomas Maier (Bottega Veneta) and Carolina Herrera. But I have to say I disagree on the second one. Her outfit is too wild and there's something about the accent too..

The official announcement drops on September 9th. I'll keep you posted!

Gaga gender bending in Vogue

Lady Gaga keeps on surprising the world with her stunts. This time she is featured on the September cover of Vogue Hommes Japan dressed up as her alter ego Jo Calderone. Some pictures already leaked months ago and there were a lot of speculations whether or not this Jo really was just a Sicilian car mechanic or Lady Gaga in disguise. This way, Gaga shows that she doesn't seem to care about the previous speculations about her gender. Although the pictures look really credible, you can't fool a real Gaga fan! Spite of the tons of make up and dark atmosphere, I can still see her feminine side shining through. Tell me, did you fall for it?

Teatime with Karl

Ever dreamed of having tea with Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Claudia Schiffer or Naomi Campbell? Well, here's your chance! Check out these Prêt-à-PorTEA bags from Donkey Products featuring the most famous fashion faces. Looks like Karl is having a good time hot-tubbing in some Earl Grey tea.

MAC Fabulous Felines

Cats have been a symbol of femininity for ages because of their gracefulness, elegance, beauty and intelligence. No wonder MAC chose the cat to serve as an inspiration for a new fall collection!

The Fabulous Felines collection is divided into 3 smaller collections with each its own background story involving cats.  American readers can find the collection in the MAC stores already, Europeans will have to wait a little longer since the line will be available in MAC stores as of September 4th. Take a look at the trailer and the collection after the jump.

During Spring/Summer 2011 there are plans to release three new capsule dress collections.

Store openings

Aah, how I love September. Forget school, September is the month of the new fashion collections! And  of new stores!   I have a feeling my wallet is not going to like this, especially since he's still recovering from my London trip. I'll post pics of what I bought later. Anyway, check out these new Belgian hotspots after the jump..

New Look Idol 6

This is already the 6th Idols collection from New Look. The collection has a grunge bohemian feel and is inspired by a free, uninhibited girl that escapes into her own fantasy world. This in combination with the style of the Roma gypsies creates a romantic and dark look that's perfect for free-spirited girls with an unpredictable side.

We see hues of purple, mint green, charcoal, lilac with touches of antique gold thrown in, giving a vintage, slightly distressed vibe that is inspired by nature and dusk on a hot summer night.

Dior Fall 2010 make up

“Dior women are not shy, they’re modern and daring,” says John Galliano. The Dior fall color collection pays tribute to this idea of unabashed femininity with shades of sensual mauve, deep purple and smoky charcoal and grey tones. The eyes are the focal point of the look: endless and full lashes, mysterious, smoky lids and soft, pink hues for the lips.

Urban Outfitters a/w lookbook

Here's a preview of what Urban Outfitters has in store for you this autumn/winter. For the shots for the Fall 2010 lookbook, Urban Outfitters went on a little trip into the New York City borough of Queens. Using urban landscapes as a background, the lookbook is styled to look like a series of faded photographs.

Adventures in copyright: part 1389269393..

Look what I came across while browsing the ASOS site. A bright one shoulder dress that looks very familiar. The Forever Unique printed frill one shoulder dress is almost an exact copy of a gorgeous Stella McCartney dress from her spring/summer 2010 collection. You can get it for €198,53 at ASOS.com.

Fashion magazines

Apart from a closet and a couple of racks for my clothes, I also have one for my huge stash of women's magazines. "Hi, I'm Sté and I'm a magazine addict." (Do they have meetings for this?) I can't pass a news stand or a bookstore without checking out if they have some new fashion magazines. And this obsession has been 'current' for a while now.

Henri Lloyd a/w 2010 campaign

Here's a look at the new autumn/winter 2010 women's wear campaign of Henri Lloyd, a Britisch Sailing Heritage brand. The key of this collection is layering, protection, country and nautical influences. Not only are the pieces based on the latest trends, the fabrics are carefully chosen to be able to protect and shelter the wearer against the elements. More pictures after the jump..

Louise Roe's new show: Plain Jane

Remember Louise Roe from 'The City'? She didn't get the job at Elle, but what she did get is a job as a host to a brand new fashion makeover show called 'Plain Jane'!

Don't say "not another makeover series" too quickly. In this new reality series, Louise helps out plain girls to gain confidence with the help of a head-to-toe style transformation, including a new wardrobe and confidence-building exercises. Once the transformation is complete, the formerly Plain Jane is up for the ultimate challenge: surprising her unsuspecting crush with the new look and confessing her true feelings to him!

Dare To Wear by MAC

MAC has released a new summer collection inspired by Lady Gaga called Dare To Wear, consisting of a range of shiny lipglass and over-the-top bright eye shadow to create a pop art look. The collection is indeed daring, but fun to experiment with on a hot, sunny day or when you go clubbing. The collection is now available at MAC stores and via the website through September 2010. Do you dare?

Spotlight: Sandro

I discovered Sandro in Printemps and Galeries Lafayette during my recent trip to Lille (France) and I was hooked immediately. Sandro is a French brand offering ultra feminine designs with a nice twist.  They know perfectly how to translate the season's hottest trends into very wearable and casual pieces. The outfits are young and fresh, and can be mixed and matched to your heart's content.

H&M fall/winter ad campaign

H&M once again chose Daria Werbowy to star in their fall/winter ad campaign. And why doesn't that surprise me, she rocks those outfits. Love the trenchcoat by the way! As you can see, the color palette of H&M mainly consists of brown and nude shades mixed with some blue, white and grey. The items are available in your nearest H&M store as of today.

In My Dresser.nl

As promised, I would like to elaborate a bit more on this cute webshop I discovered a little while ago. In My Dresser is a Dutch webshop based in Rotterdam that offers very affordable high fashion accessories. They carry all kinds of jewelry, hair accessories, scarves, belts and beautyproducts. This carefully selected collection gets updated regularly and is based on catwalk shows, celebrity outfits and streetstyle. Apart from the season's must-haves, they also offer timeless, vintage-inspired pieces. The best thing about this webshop is that they don't have a lot of stock, so the pieces are rather rare and you probably won't see anyone else wearing them.

In My Dresser offers jewelry for everyone, whether you are a girly girl who loves flowers, hearts, cupcakes etc. or a tough girl who likes crosses, snakes, wings or skulls. In My Dresser ships to European countries and the standard shipping cost is €1,95 (it depends on the weight).

Below I selected some of my favorite pieces from the webshop:

Joe Zee gets his own TV show!

While MTV still hasn't confirmed that there's going to be a third season of 'The City', Joe Zee is already moving on. WWD says that the creative director will star in an eight-episode series on the Sundance Channel called 'All On the Line', in which he will help struggling designers revamp their collections.

This is great news to me, I love Joe Zee. He always brings the right bit of humor on 'The City'. (Watch this clip to know what I mean.) I'm glad that he got his own show, he definitely deserves a place in the spotlights! I hope there will be a third season of 'The City' too though. We'll just have to wait and see..

Kim Kardashian x Justin Bieber for Elle

Kim Kardashian loves getting back on the Justin Bieber fans. De two did a romantic couples shoot for Elle Magazine in the Bahamas. A while ago, Kim received multipe threats because Bieber twittered (as a joke) that she was his girlfriend. Beliebers (as the Bieber fans are called) could not appreciate this and sent Kim angry letters and even death threats! For Kim this meant payback time! Watch the video after the jump break to learn more about the shoot..

Zara f/w ad campaign

Take a look at the new Zara campaign for fall/winter 2010 featuring Toni Garrn and Sean Opry, shot by David Sims. The campaign features a lot of classic pieces in classic winter colours. A behind the scenes video and the TRF campaign are also included after the jump break..

Rachel Zoe's 'I die' shoot

Rachel Zoe is back with a big bang for another season of 'The Rachel Zoe Project'. We finally know a little more on the Taylor subject. For those who watch TRZP know that Rachel often uses hilarious and often overused expressions like "I die!" and "bananas!". But I have to say she is an incredible stylist. Harper's Bazaar agrees on that by having her posing with some of her favorite designers for a 5-page spread in HP's September issue.

Etude House Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand Cream

I'm thrilled to be able to start my new 'Beauty review' section with a very nice product! Most of you (in Europe) probably never heard of Etude House, but neither did I. I was lucky enough that my Japanese friend Eri got it for me when she was in Korea. *Thanks love!*

I've never really used hand creams before. Well, I tried some of my mom's (she's a daily user) but I didn't quite like them because they were so greasy and I don't really need them because my hands are very soft on their own (or so I'm told). Anyway, because of my recent studentjob, my hands had become a bit rough and flaky and my hands started to look like those of an old lady, so I decided to try the Etude House Hand Bouquet Rich Butter hand cream (50ml) from Korea. And what a lovely surprise it was!

First of all, the cream smells heavenly. It's like you're entering a garden of flowers in full bloom. Second, it wasn't greasy at all! The cream melts quickly and gets absorbed in the skin, so you can start grabbing things right away without leaving a greasy smudge. It leaves a very smooth and silky finish with a very fresh floral scent. And most important of all, after a couple of days of use, my hands were again as soft as a baby's!

Pros (+):  nice scent, not greasy, gets absorbed quickly, soft hands!
Cons (-): not easy to find (in Europe)

You can get your - soon to be soft - hands on it via Korea BB or via Etude House USA.
Look for stores in Asia here.

Patrizia Pepe fall/winter ad campaign

For their Fall/Winter campaign Patrizia Pepe didn't use any famous models. And why would they if the face was covered anyway? The idea behind the photo shoot and mysterious Who is Patrizia? slogan is to raise awareness about the label’s designer Patrizia Bambi.

Into the Wild

Because it's the first trend post of the season, I threw in a cute cat picture. And no, the trend is not pets wearing jewelry. It's exactly the opposite. Take a look!

An oil-spill inspired editorial: appropriate or tasteless?

Italian Vogue is one of the most talked about editions in the world. The magazine tends to use current issues like the war in Iraq or the increase in the use of botox as a source of inspiration for their shoots. The current edition of Italian Vogue includes a 24 page editorial shot by Steven Meisel, titled “Water and Oil.” Pictures in the spread include model Kristen McMenamy covered in oil, coughing up seawater and wearing dirty, black feathers on the beach. This way, the magazine criticizes the oil spill and the way it's being handled.

Antwerp Fashion Weekend

Even though Antwerp is one of the leading fashion cities of the world, we still don't have our own Fashion Week. Which really is too bad in my opinion. Why send all the talent across the borders and overseas when you can host an event here and make the fashion industry see how great Antwerp is?!  Antwerp Fashion Agents vzw is working hard to change all that. For the first time, they're organizing an Antwerp Fashion Weekend, which is a good start. This way, they try to strenghten Antwerp's position on the map as an international fashion city. The event will focus on both B2B and B2C.

A sneak peek at New York fashion week

Take a look at the schedule of the Mercedes-Benz New York fashion week in September. (Double cllick for a larger image.) The NYFW for spring/summer 2011 will be held from Thursday, September 9th to Thursday, September 16th at the Lincoln Center. I would die to be able to attend NY Fashion Week.  Watching all those gorgeous models wearing the most amazing designs up close in full action.. The thought of it alone makes me grasp for air! I can't wait to see what these designers have in store for us next season! We'll just have to wait and see..

Contest: customize a trench

The trenchcoat has been a iconic piece for over 15 years at Comptoir des Cotonniers. To celebrate this event, Comptoir des Cotonniers invites all women to reinvent the Comptoir des Cotonniers trenchcoat. A customization challenge, in which imagination is key to this competition focused on creativity and originality takes centre stage, giving women the chance to freely express their personality!

Oh Happy Day..

Guess what came in the mail today! My prize from the Fashiolista and In My Dresser give away! Yaaay! I won a very cute watch necklace. It didn't turn out to be the one that was promised in the picture, but oh well.. the lollipops made up for it. How did you know I liked them? :D Thank you so much Fashiolista and In My Dresser! I'm really happy with it!

Cool as Ice

These cool watches need no introduction. The Belgian brand Ice-watch is known from Hollywood, CA to Tokyo, Japan and beyond. Now what is so special about these watches that even Paris Hilton grabbed a lot of them at a celebrity gift event? Well, they come in a lot of colors. And when I say a lot, a really mean A LOT! And they're affordable too! No wonder their slogan is: 'Change. You can.'

Essentiel f/w campaign

Take a look at the autumn/winter campaign of one of Belgium's best fashion houses, Essentiel! When I spotted the ad in this month's Elle BE, I just kept looking at it. The model in the first pic kind of reminds me of Olivia Palermo. Anyway, I love how glamorous the campaign looks. I also have a thing for campaigns with love triangles. And how amazing are those clothes! I can't wait to make the dotted blouse with bow (first pic) and the black dress (last pic) mine! So chic!

Mango f/w lookbook

Previously I posted the Mango campaign shots featuring Scarlett Johansson, the catwalk pics and some still life images of the garments for autumn/winter 2010. Now I present you a peek at the lookbook, where the collection is divided into 4 parts: Evening, City, Working Girl and Blue Jeans. The new mens line Homini Emerito is now also featured on the website. Lookbook images after the jump..

Material Girl by Madonna lookbook

The 'Material Girl' collection by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes is now available at Macy's! Here's a peek at the lookbook. As posted before, the campaign girl is none other then Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen!

'Toujours' Delvaux

That's the name of the new line that Véronique Branquinho has designed for Delvaux. The Toujours collection has 5 bags named after days in the week (Lundi, Mercredi, Vendredi, Samedi and Dimanche) and are available in the colors ganache, bleu royal, réglisse, vanille and caramel. They are made for the dynamic and stylish woman that uses them on a daily basis. Delvaux expressed this by using their own employees in the campaign, shot by photographer Alex Salinas. Vendredi and Dimanche have already conquered a spot on my wishlist!
